Vice President for Private Sector

Antonio H. Pinheiro Silveira is the vice president of Private Sector, at CAF-Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean. Mr Silveira holds a PhD in Economics which he obtained from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. He formerly held positions as the deputy chief of Economic Advice of the Ministry of Planning, secretary of economic monitoring of the Ministry of Finance and Minister of the Secretariat of Ports to the Government of Brazil. He also assumed the role as a board member of public and private companies, which include Caixa Econômica Federal de Brasil, Vale S.A. (Fiscal Council) and North Easton Bank. Mr Silveira also worked as the executive director for Brazil at both the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
