Jenefer: Ditch plastic water bottles + baggies.
Prevent hundreds of single-use plastic containers from entering our oceans and landfills by using reusable bottles and food storage containers.
Melissa: Upcycle your empties.
Empty OSEA glass containers can be upcycled into planters, salad dressing dispensers, votive candle holders and more!
Jenefer: Subscribe to a local CSA box.
Get locally grown seasonal fruits and veggies–delivered straight to your door! You’ll be supporting local farmers, reducing your carbon footprint, and eating well!
Melissa: Regrow your veggies in water–without any dirt at all.
Cut off the bottoms of your green veggies and place in a small bowl of water. New growth begins from the center of the plant in as little as 3 days and you’ll have a new half head of lettuce in about 2 weeks! Also makes for a fun homeschool project with kids!
Jenefer: Streamline your routine and keep it clean.
Using multipurpose products cuts down on your shower time. I use Ocean Cleanser to cleanse and exfoliate. Steer clear of products with synthetic fragrance that may harm both your body and the earth when rinsed down the drain.
Melissa: Move away from fast fashion.
Fast fashion has been rated as one of the worst industries for the planet, not too far behind fossil fuel. Take baby steps and invest in a few ethically made clothing pieces that last. Some of my favorites: Christy Dawn, Reformation, Outerknown and Patagonia!
