As a brand whose name is inspired by nature’s elements, Ocean, Sun, Earth + Atmosphere, we have a distinct duty to protect the elements that we draw from. We are committed to doing our part to transition to a net zero world which is why we’ve led the way in becoming one of the first Climate Neutral Certified brands. To achieve this, we measured all of our brand’s cradle-to-customer emissions, and we are implementing reduction strategies. We also compensate for our emissions annually by investing in carbon credits to remove and reduce climate pollution outside our supply chain.

We know that healthy oceans are crucial to the protection of our planet. That’s why we’ve taken action to become an Ocean Positive verified brand with our partner SeaTrees. This means that we offset more carbon than we create. For every ton of carbon that we offset, we pay it forward by investing in coastal restoration projects in Palos Verdes, California, Kenya, Cambodia and Indonesia that sequester (“suck”) carbon from the atmosphere.

As part of our efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, we are working to minimize our use of virgin plastic by transitioning product pumps and lids to PCR material or alternative materials. We are minimizing our paper use by resizing our shipper boxes to use less cardboard and transitioning to smaller shippers. We are proud to be increasing the percentage of post-consumer use material in our product unit boxes, relying less on virgin paper.

Sustainability has always been a core value at OSEA. That’s why we’ve partnered with TerraCycle® to provide a recycling program for skincare packaging at our Venice Skincare Studio.

How it Works:

• You bring back your empty products (6 to be exact)
• For every 6 returned, you receive a $40 facial treatment credit
• We ensure that each glass bottle is recycled properly

Our recycling program is currently only available to individuals who are able to make in-person visits to our L.A. based Venice Skincare Studio. We are working to expand this service to our global community.
