I try my best to devote a little bit of time to self-care each night. My bedtime skincare and relaxation rituals are key for helping my skin (and mind) stay healthy and balanced throughout the week. Here’s what I do…
I Take a Bath to Relax
The first part of my nighttime routine is winding down with our new Vagus Nerve Bath Oil . This is the most relaxing product I’ve ever made. I love the calming scent of chamomile, lavender and Moroccan rosemary essential oils. For me it washes away the stress of the day and leaves my skin silky smooth.
On night’s when my muscles are sore, I’ll sprinkle in a handful of our mineral-rich Gigartina Therapy Bath into the tub instead. It’s very relaxing and smells so good (like lavender). We make it with this beautiful powdered seaweed to soften and hydrate skin. It’s very special.
I Nourish and Massage My Skin
While my skin is still damp, I massage Undaria Algae™ Body Oil from neck to toe. It’s such a total game changer for my dry skin. I love that it’s made with Undaria seaweed and seven incredible botanical oils. It softens, nourishes and firms like no other.
I Like to Make Tea
On nights when I’m feeling anxious, I’ll make my own version of a sleepytime tea with chamomile, lavender and lemon balm. Mixed with warm oat milk, it’s a calming treat that’s beyond delicious. Especially with a drizzle of coconut nectar!
I Exfoliate With Acids
Twice a week, I use our new Seaglow Overnight Serum: AHA Treatment. It’s a multi-acid blend that exfoliates while you sleep. I wanted this product to work for all skin types, so we formulated it with a nourishing blend of red algae, spirulina and fermented shiunko oil to support the skin’s moisture barrier. I love waking up to a morning glow. My skin is noticeably smoother and healthy looking!
Then I Moisturize
Next it’s my all time favorite cream, our Advanced Protection Cream. It works beautifully over the Seaglow Overnight Serum for dry or mature skin like mine. I love the luxurious thick texture and how moisturized my skin feels after using it.
I Use a Pillow Mist
By the time I crawl into bed, I’m practically in dreamland. If I don’t fall asleep immediately, I’ll use Vagus Nerve Pillow Mist on my pillowcase and sheets. The chamomile, juniper and lavender scent is so soothing. Thoroughly relaxed now, I drift off for a beautiful night’s rest.
