Now that we are on our third partnership, let’s refresh people on how the brands first connected – and how did this new collaboration come together?
Ariel Kaye, Parachute:
I have been a fan of OSEA and their mission for many years. They are at the forefront of the natural skincare movement and share Parachute’s commitment to using only the highest-quality ingredients that are also safe for the environment. Beyond their category expertise, I love working with fellow female-founded businesses. Melissa and I are friends and love to bounce ideas off of each other.
Melissa Palmer, OSEA:
We are first and foremost a clean, seaweed-based skincare company, but we’ve always been interested in developing safe products for your home, too. We love Parachute’s timeless aesthetic and commitment to using materials that are free from harmful chemicals and synthetics. Ariel and I met years ago and bonded over our mutual love of self-care and relaxation. Our first collection launched in 2018. Parachute linens are literally the best reason to stay in bed, but our latest collab might result in you never leaving your shower again.
The products and the reaction from our customers with each new collaboration really speak for themselves – people love OSEA. For this new collection, we wanted to create something unique for each of our brands. I think we nailed it!
Can you describe the design process? How did you land on the new fragrances for the Shower Mists?
Ariel Kaye, Parachute:
It was a really collaborative effort. Our teams met and discussed which direction we wanted to take this new product collaboration. When it came time to test the fragrances, we all knew we wanted something fresh, clean, relaxing and subtle. We had the opportunity to test them in our own homes and showers. Being able to incorporate the product testing into an everyday routine made the process really fun and intimate. After using the mists at home over the past few months, I know shoppers are going to fall in love with these products.
Jenefer Palmer, OSEA:
People are always asking us to turn our signature skincare scents into home fragrances. Our latest shower mist launch for Parachute does just that for your shower. Calm Mist combines top notes of Bulgarian lavender and bergamot, while Energize Mist is an invigorating blend of lime, orange and ginger.
The collection features the Shower Mists in Energize and Calm and the Mini Shower Mist Set as well as some of our OSEA favorites, like the Undaria Algae™ Body Oil, Anti Aging Body Balm and Mini Body Trio. How did you land on this assortment? Why focus on the shower?
Melissa Palmer, OSEA:
We wanted to re-create that feeling of a spa-like sanctuary in your daily shower. As a night owl who struggles to wind down, I love using the Calm Shower Mist in my evening shower to relax my body and mind. The Energize Mist is maybe the only thing that works harder than my morning coffee. It’s the perfect treat for those early-morning meeting days when I don’t want to get out of bed.
Jenefer Palmer, OSEA:
When we created these shower mists, our intention was to use scent to create spa moments every day. The brain loves consistency, so waking up and going to sleep with the same scents can make you feel happy. Along with the OSEA for Parachute shower mists, we’re also excited to introduce the Parachute customer to our best-selling Undaria Algae™ Body Oil, Anti-Aging Body Balm and Travel Body Trio. Our seaweed-infused body care leaves your skin feeling silky, soft and glowing.
Obviously, all of you know how to create cozy and relaxing products that create an at-home oasis. Can you tell us about your bathroom style and must-haves?
Ariel Kaye, Parachute:
Soft towels in lots of different sizes are a must. I’m currently loving our Soft Rib Towels. They are fluffy and stylish – the perfect addition to the bath. I also like a neutral color palette. It creates a calm, spa vibe at home. Lastly, I try to minimize clutter. I like to keep products stored away, have extra towels rolled in baskets for easy access and bring a plant into the space for a pop of color and a natural element.
Melissa Palmer, OSEA:
I love spending most of my weekend in my Parachute Cloud Cotton Robe! After my shower I always use our Undaria Algae™ Body Oil to keep my skin soft and glowing. I also am a big fan of humidity-loving plants. Just looking at them makes me feel calm. Finally, I recently upgraded my shower with a massage showerhead. It’s super-relaxing, and now I can’t really live without it!
